The project focuses on repositioning Prof. Dr. Armando Mansilha’s website with an emphasis on highlighting the curricular nature of its content. As a result the website gains interest from a wider audience — from peers to other players in the health sector, namely industry, sponsors, etc.
The intervention includes improvements to the user experience, such as increasing the number of internal and external links through buttons and quick access, reversing the logic of the Positions and Awards page, with the inclusion of a navigation slider to facilitate consultation, and, lastly, the insertion of image galleries with lightbox viewing. New features are also introduced, such as the creation of a new page – Library – for sharing articles relevant to the activity, which functions as a general repository of scientific/academic content, adding greater depth to the curricular aspect of the website.
In addition to the structure, the art direction has also undergone an evolution. The colour palette has been slightly adjusted to soften the visual impact, such as softening the main colours and adjusting the background colour tinting. In terms of typography, priority was given to reading comfort, especially in longer blocks, but without losing the character and expression of the original typography. The visual elements and iconography that punctuate the site are marked by rounded corners, simplified designs and the application of a ‘glass effect’.
