DOMODOMO is a Japanese restaurant located in the centre of Porto. Studium’s project goes through the conceptualisation and design of the space, focusing on functional systems and consumption policies.

One of the main concepts of this project is the creation of different structural, functional and material elements that guarantee a uniform and coherent reading of the space, the exponentiation of the quality of the experience (provided by the spatial environment), the curiosity of the customer and the appropriation of the different policies of permanence and consumption (lunch/dinner).
Through a set of standardisation criteria, basic elements are identified, indisputably as DOMODOMO.
Unifying space means maximising the functionality of its spatial elements, as is the case in Japanese culture. Different functions are proposed from the same basic element, reducing the number of variables and ensuring uniformity and clarity in the perception of the space as a whole.
