The briefing of the project is to develop the Elementis office interior design at Porto Business Plaza, with a total area of approximately 1900.00 m2, of which 800-900.00 m2 are dedicated to laboratories. The open space takes into account the hot-desk model, with a maximum density of 76 pax.
The main goal is to turn the Elementis lab into the highlight of the new office, in order to showcase the brand's innovative approach. The lab is the most important structure in the office and has very specific functions: it acts as a "window" to the open space, allowing different activities, teams and interests to come together. A pavilion structure is proposed: an autonomous part which defines the programmatic diversity and the flexibility of the Porto office. Being the most important structure, the lab defines two parallel entry timelines that converge briefly: the first entry point is for the operations area (RH, internal teams) and a second entry point for the lab. The usage of different visual levels defines the limits of the open space and the lab, adding dynamism to the office and offering multiple perspectives so that the user may always discover something new.
