The project focuses on creating a spatial strategy for the new Nordex offices, regarding the company’s growth, the paradigm shift in the work regime towards a predominantly in-person approach, the need to be attractive for both existing and new collaborators and the aim to create open and restricted spaces that define the overall Nordex community dynamic.
The symbolic character of the wind turbine can be gathered to build a sense of landscape in the user’s spatial experience. The wind park, Nordex’s core business and activity, provides the opportunity to use the wind turbine as a symbolic element, instigating a sense of belonging in the user’s spatial experience. The verticality of the element and the density of the wind park are two crucial aspects that are represented in the space.
The company’s work dynamics are the cornerstone to build
a strong community: the spatial configuration — beyond the traditional division of “social” and “work” spaces — is the main architectural input to build a community. A system of interstitial spaces is used in order to define potential spaces for both work and social interaction. The threshold between the definition of compartment and space is mediated by potential uses and functions dedicated to a diverse and efficient work environment.
