Minho's landscape, in the northwest of Portugal, has a constant landmark - the espigueiros. These small traditional structures, used to store cereal, are characterized by its lifting from the terrain and its pentagonal section, composed by ventilated walls with slab and a double-sloped roof.

The Espigueiro, a project located within few miles from Barcelos, interprets these landmarks, taking advantage of a natural hill and merging with its surroundings.
Abiding the previously described morphology, the building is characterized by the articulation of standard and modular components, aiming for a practical and efficient assembling.
