In an attempt to evolve its territory and Inter-County Community, Trás-os-Montes opened a contest for the creation of its graphic identity. The goal: international recognition and appreciation of its patrimony.
Recognizing an unique semantic opportunity, studium leaned over the term “Trás-os-Montes” (“behind the mountains”), and from it developed its slogan and concept as one: “Terras de Trás-os-Montes à frente” (“Lands of Trás-os-Montes ahead/in front of”). This creative key unlocked the doors to an extremely sensorial design, supported by the visual hierarchy of a multifaceted and flexible logo, reflection of an unique territory.
