Continuamos o Tempo

O tempo continua a expandir-se como uma jorrada de experiências e motivos de evolução. Neste ano 2022, em que outros espectros se demonstram nesta debandada de tempo, o resumo de 10 meses parece já sustentado pelo convicto estado de que são mutáveis as tendências da sua percepção. Mas ao tempo ninguém sabe ainda, vencer.

Os desígnios visuais, tridimensionais, especulativos ou reais continuam a apresentar-se como histórias narradas por quem as cria. Histórias confrontantes com o estado da realidade, continuamente apaixonadas pela assertividade que sempre caracteriza todas as ações da criação.

Fluxo-Tempo II

O tempo é o principio e o fim de tudo, de tudo mesmo, mesmo daquilo que não consideramos no tempo, ou no espaço. Mas tudo é dele e dele só é possível a tentativa de fuga, nada mais.

Essa medida imensurável não é possível abraçar, ela é perfeita em si mesma. Consigo traz a certeza de que o tempo é vitória, e que ninguém lhe consegue ultrapassar.

Olha como é lenta esta eterna razão que temos, e que nos arrasa no desconcerto de não sabermos quanto do tempo é nosso. Esta identidade é isso mesmo, é talvez a perda da mão ou a sua presença refletida, noutras vistas. A sexta chega incorporada no tempo, porque ela própria é coincidente com os vinte anos que chegam ao studium. Cada empurrão é sentido numa afetação clínica, mais ou menos intencional mas sempre de uma intensidade feroz e irrequieta.

Calma.

Nunca, jamais a calma se traduzirá na forma como conduzo a fórmula da identidade, e esta é simples porque começa na palavra TEMPO,
na ação AFETAÇÃO PELO FLUXO,
na tipografia INDEFINIDA, DISTORCIDA,
na captação por RECORTE, FOTOCÓPIA, FOTOGRAFIA, VÍDEO, ANIMAÇÃO,
na media IMPRESSA, DIGITAL, METAFÍSICO.

Time

Time is the continued sequence of existence and events that occurs in an apparently irreversible succession from the past, through the present, into the future. It is a component quantity of various measurements used to sequence events, to compare the duration of events or the intervals between them, and to quantify rates of change of quantities in material reality or in the conscious experience. Time is often referred to as a fourth dimension, along with three spatial dimensions.

Time has long been an important subject of study in religion, philosophy, and science, but defining it in a manner applicable to all fields without circularity has consistently eluded scholars. Nevertheless, diverse fields such as business, industry, sports, the sciences, and the performing arts all incorporate some notion of time into their respective measuring systems.

Time in physics is operationally defined as “what a clock reads”.

The physical nature of time is addressed by general relativity with respect to events in space-time. Examples of events are the collision of two particles, the explosion of a supernova, or the arrival of a rocket ship. Every event can be assigned four numbers representing its time and position (the event’s coordinates). However, the numerical values are different for different observers. In general relativity, the question of what time it is now only has meaning relative to a particular observer. Distance and time are intimately related and the time required for light to travel a specific distance is the same for all observers, as first publicly demonstrated by Michelson and Morley. General relativity does not address the nature of time for extremely small intervals where quantum mechanics holds. At this time, there is no generally accepted theory of quantum general relativity.

studium – (id)entities

“Identity”, as a technical design expression, is usually employed to describe the graphic representation of an entity, idea or product. It’s a category that possesses its own micro-universe of solutions; cycles often isolated in time, anxious to close themselves off until redesigned just for the vanity of “modernization”.

When we created studium in 2014, we knew that an innovative creative studio could not hold on to a single identity solution ad eternum, terrified to project itself onto the future and to embrace the evolution that would have to come. We knew where we were then – taking our first steps, presenting ourselves to the world – and where we wanted to get to – the frontline, hand stretched out toward anyone who wanted to grab it. Between these two moments, other milestones would take place, a glance towards the steps we had climbed and a total awareness of the distance we had leapt.

Each mark, an iteration of studium’s identity. An assertive reasoning, with a rigorous and integrating vision, with intentional oddities. This is the way of being, working, living, thinking, speaking and breathing studium. In everything we do.

et voilá – a (nova) cervejaria do norte

E inaugurou no dia 16 de Fevereiro a tão esperada #Fábrica de Cervejas Portuense , a mais recente indústria no centro do Porto, a casa-mãe da Nortada!

É o culminar de um projeto que envolveu valências como identidade, branding, comunicação, design de produto, arquitetura, interiores, mobiliário e web, um verdadeiro desafio que o #studium® abraçou com toda a dedicação e apostou todas as cartas, com o objetivo máximo de oferecer uma envolvente e única experiência cervejeira.

As texturas rudes, a materialidade tradicional do Porto, as cores da marca, o ambiente puramente industrial do piso -02 – que contamina todos os espaços até às águas furtadas e que ultrapassa os limites do edifício – emanam a fusão da alma portuense com um coração cervejeiro que acontece neste edifício dos finais do século XIX.

Como encerramento deste projeto tão complexo, que envolveu todos os membros da equipa e que gerou um volume imensurável de informação, o #studium® está já a partilhar uma publicação, dividida em #05 fascículos que sintetiza a multiplicidade de momentos que levam ao que podemos experienciar hoje.
