The communication of SACV (Angiology and Vascular Surgery Service), one of São João Hospital’s services, was developed in order to ensure the standardization of all communication materials of the service.
As there cannot be a visual identity, due to hierarchical relationships with the visual identity of the Hospital de São João, a simple graphic system that unifies communication is proposed. This communication system is based on the simple premise of the representation of the "V" of vascular, through a visual simplification of the form. In this simplification, composed of two intersecting bands, the area where they overlap is highlighted through different chromatic intensities, as if it were a prism. This representation, associated with the blue colour that permeates all the supports, is directly linked to the idea of veins that cross and that, when referring to venous blood, are represented through the colour.
